How long could it take for STD throat symptoms to show up?

2 months ago I had unprotected sex (very dumb decision I will admit). The past couple days my throat has been sore and today I noticed white spots on my tonsils. I’m assuming it’s strep throat or something, but I was wondering if it was even possible for it to be an STD from the unprotected sex from two months ago (oral sex was involved). Is it possible the bacteria didn’t grow for two months or if that would have happened would it have happened sooner after I had sex?
