According to the Center for Disease Control, children between the ages of 11 and 12 should be vaccinated for HPV. The vaccine is given in three shots; the second one happens one or two months after the first shot and the third one six months after that.
The vaccine works best with younger adolescents, although the vaccine is still recommended for older teens. Talk to your children’s doctor about getting them vaccinated.
